Free Mouse Buttons Resume 🖋️

If you've gotten a job application from me in the last few months, you might already know that I host my resumes here! I think semantic HTML is a great way to organize a document that is often 90% headers and bullet points by volume. More people should do it.

Until now, I have kept the resume page hidden and only linked to it in my job applications. Now everyone can see it!

If you get a custom resume from me, it will still be hidden from the general public. Don't worry, the page isn't going to become an open record of every job I apply to.

Unique Visitor Count! September 22nd 2024 🔧

Today I added a visitor count to the website footer! I followed instructions from Dannarchy's Neocities Tutorial, so check that out if you want a visit tracker too.

The Neocities API already tracks site hits and unique visits, along with other exciting site metadata, and anyone can pull this data and display it. I didn't realize Neocities was collecting this data, and it's a reminder that platforms, while they do so much for us, often do more than we explicitly ask of them- for better or worse.

In this case, I'm glad Neocities was tracking my visitor count because that meant I wouldn't have to write PHP.

You may also notice the color-changing rat in the footer. That is made possible with some extra new CSS I wrote for this update! Now I can put rats anywhere, not just in front of headers or list items. Expect more rats soon.

Templating! September 5th 2024 🔧

This site is SO full of templates I cannot wait to use! The homepage is done and there's templates for blog posts and indexes of posts and tags, so from now on the website will practically build itself!

EXCEPT- there is an about page and this changelog, which are templated separately. And I haven't put anything in those yet. Starting with the changelog and we're getting it done right now! Why wait?!

ALSO i am doing this with so much inspiration from marcika.club. That's the site I got the stars background from. I hope this doesn't make my site unoriginal, I think the rest of it is pretty original. Great artists steal anyway.
