Resume for Strong Museum of Play
Cover letter
Dear Strong Museum of Play,
My name is Bea O'Brien, I'm an experienced graphic designer with a passion for graphic technology. I aspire to highlight interesting creative techniques and their places in history, from linocut printmaking to cutting-edge computer graphics. I hope that people can learn about the craft through my work.
In my work as a graphic designer I have been an integral artistic voice in creative teams, and provided utility for companies that demanded quick turnarounds and strict alignment with brands. I work best in an environment that is always iterating, and with teams that explore ideas together.
I would also like to note how special it is to me that the Strong Museum centers queer people, people with disabilities, and people of color in its staff, coverage, and audience. It's a place where I genuinely feel like I could belong, in an industry where I have struggled to feel welcome. I believe things are changing for the better, and the Strong Museum helps me believe that. I want to work for that change.
Thank you for reading, please schedule an interview with me! It would be a dream.
